Vagabonds and transients...

Ugh I'm not a fan of the homeless. I feel bad for them and all but to carry on and be disruptive just isn't conducive to their "cause" at all.

I'm living in the dorms and we have thin walls as it is, I really like to bump my music but I've had to refrain as people are trying to study and nap at various times of the day. Why is it than that any bearded tweaker has the right to bestow his wisdom (I quote "YOUR ALL GOING TO HELL, YOURE ALL GOING TO BURN IN HELL) on us dudes anytime he pleases, yet KRS-One has to be silenced at quite hours? It's gaaarbage.

To give the homeless some props, they do provide the valuable services of supporting under age drinking and of role models for the downtown kids.

O you wascilly wabbit...

Ah, Tom finally catching that cock blocking jerk Jerry, Bugs exacting revenge on that rascal Daffy with a slug, and much more! All in gory, vivid realism! James Cauty comes swingin' hard with a raw show of 'the plausible impossibility of death in the mind of cartoon characters'!

It wasn't really until after my uncle died that I started questioning why Daffy could take double barrel blast to the schnoz and only have "Thith meanth WAR" as a response and a backwards bill as a result. Since than it's been a nagging, no, burning question in the back of my head: What would Tom do if he finally caught that sneaky lil' Jerry? That big dog that beats the fur offa Tom, why doesn't he just tear him in half?
Well now one can see it! Head over to The Aquarium for exhibit dates and times, and check out DoubleFinePhotos for some pics!

The def will rule the EARTH

Altamont Apparel has teamed up with the likes of Mike Jones and Mikhail Bortnik from Mishka NYC to bang out some dope ass tee's. Paying homage to the rampant gang violence once (and in some places still) associated with L dot A , and referencing some good ol' horror classics, the result is a frantic, scary-ill trio of wearable art.

My fave is pictured above but you can check 'em all out at the AA offical website.

Ma Dukes live on the track

After James Yancy aka J Dilla died (Detroit producer, do your homework kid) his mother, Ma Dukes aka Ms. Maureen Yancey, was left with a ton of debt and hardship. Anti-/Epitaph recording artists Solillaquists of Sound have stepped up to the plate to help out with a single titled "Death of the Muse" featuring J-Live, Chali 2na (formerly of Jurassic 5), and Ma Dukes. The song is downloadable off of Insound.com and requires a 2$ donation or more for purchase. All proceeds go to Ms. Yancey to help in her time of need. Peep the full story and listen to the track at okayplayer.

Props to real emcees doing real things these days, we need more of 'em.
