Been a minute since last update, twitter has taken the place of my regular blogging it seems (follow @ thereminator) . Photo of the day has really gone by the wayside, I'll try an get back on that.

Most recent happening was my trip up to Portland to see De la!

Definitely worth a read, this account of the making of De La Souls 3 feet high and rising makes me realize how close to the cut all hip hop icons we know today were back in the day. Just think if De la had got in the wrong hands and was poo-pooed by rec execs looking for a commercial sound. Chiggity Check it!

Found a dope new ice treat spot called Snow Miracle out on Highway 99. It's super dank and almost impossible to describe, has the consistency of cotton candy or something and is super flavorful. mad delicious.

POTD - Workin it out

Summer's definitely here so I've been rearranging and planning accordingly. I'm living with my parents over the summer and for at least the fall term of next year so I've been clearing space to make sure I'm accommodated well. My bedroom connects to a shop which I've all but cleared out to make into a studio/media room for myself which I've dubbed "The Batcave". I've moved my old gym ish out of the garage and since it was so nice today (for Eugene anyway), I set up the "Remington Rec Center". Best part is, membership is free if you're a Remington.

Soon as The Batcave is operational I'll take a picture of it, but untell than enjoy a sneak peek into the exclusive RRC.

My travels took me to Portland last weekend so I had to let these last couple days slide on the POTD post but rest assured I will fill in the blank.

This was taken at my new best friend Mike's new place, a gift from the previous owners we supposed.

I'm by no means a great photographer, maybe a halfway decent one, but not a great one. I do however love taking pictures and for the past week have been carrying around my lil point an shoot party cam in the hopes of capturing the moments of life that make it worth living. The simplest things I'll find striking, and since recently carrying my camera with me I've been able to snap some shots.

Since the blogs been slowly dying like a short lived house fly, I've decided to try and use these random images I'll probably delete down the line to free up harddrive space for a "Photo of the day" series. Idk how long it'll run or if anyone will even look at it for that matter but consider yourself warned, you're about to catch a glimpse of my world. To tide the clamor for Raekwon's upcoming album Only Built For Cuban Linx 2, a mixtape has been dropped. I'm listening to it now an loving it, mostly new material, the mixtape is defdef worth a look seey. I could only find it on datpiff which is a mixtape disribution site that requires you to sign up for but I'm sure a quick goolge search would yield results.

I really don't know what to say about doom, people either love him or hate him. Rapping about comic books and masturbation certainly has turned out to have its own niche and I still see him as on of the more cleverer Mc's out there.

Dedication 4... mooore Wayne

I'm not a fan of Lil Wayne, but regardless, he is a talented artist who is doing SOMEthing right cause he gets paid. Well he's got a new mixtape out with Drama and as I'm listening to it now, the first track has me entertained.

Entitled "Put Me in the Game", it's an over-the-top tall-tale with vivid 'EA Big' style imagery that got me a little pumped. I didn't even know any of the name drops, not being a fan of football myself, but aside from the terrible hook the song was decent.

The day I was birthed!

Guess what today is... my birthday. In celebration I've decided to get my ish together and do some hw!! yeay!!

But in all honesty I'm amazed at how many people have taken time out of their day to wish me well, and it's been pretty dope.

Ok ok i can't keep it up, THIS TRACK IS SO LIVE. To me, it's like the truest of real hip hop, boastful self promotion based around lyricism not materialism. I can't get enough of it. Chiggity check it.
