We Jammin'

While still internet-less I've decided to make it a prerogative to continue the blog in as much normality as possible. Meaning I will continue to miss Music Mondays, regularly fail to update it on my day-to-day adventures, and only make updates of momentous occasion after weeks have passed.

First order of business: Tunes


I just picked up the new Roots album (How I Got Over) and DANG is it good. As I was recently just discussing with my droog GT, ya really gotta be in the right mood for some Blackthought lamentation. Rather aggressive stylistically, and often politically or socially charged, my dude GT likened him to a less-preachy Immortal Technique. The new album (an I gotta take a moment here to say I've only heard it full through once, so as always take with a cup of salt) seems to deal a lot with the growth and change the Roots have undergone on their ascent into "mainstream" more or less. All I can really say at this point is check it out in it's entirety as I don't have much on it yet (soooo helpful, right?)
